The Big Snow and Some Eggs

Not that you can tell, but plowman has been through. Steve had the sidewalk and porch cleared and the ❄️ kept falling. I measured about 8" awhile ago. Now the snow is turning to an icy sleet. THAT is not a good thing.

Hoping the power stays on. THAT is not a given, but so far so good.

Meanwhile, inside the house ...

When I was a kid, any deli worth its salt had a huge glass container full of pickled eggs right up at the register where you would be sure to grab a few. Not so much anymore. I haven't seen a single deli that has them anymore.

Doesn't mean I can't make my own with some leftover pickle brine. Unfortunately, they aren't for today. They need to marinate for awhile so they get really, REALLY pickle-y.
