What's On My Needles - January Week 1

A recap of what's on my needles this week.

1. Sophie Scarf ---- I'm making this wider and longer than the pattern.

How is it going?  Pretty well. I do a few repeats with my morning tea.

2.  Winters Frost Socks ---- this one is slow going, but going well.

3.  The new guy . . . Mesh Sock by Nancy Wheeler.

This one would have been further along if I could just count. I had 4 extra stitches in the ribbing. When did I notice this? When I was DONE the ribbing. Today's coffee time had me frogging all the way back and starting over with the cuff. I'm now ready to start the pattern rows.

4.  A Schwenkfelder Sampler (not shown)

This one is almost done. I have 1/4 of the last page to do. However, it has some of

the largest motifs of the whole chart. Still fun. Should be done this week or next 🤞.

The Eagles have made it to the playoffs.

We're all pretty excited about that.

GO BIRDS!

  1. Are you making the Sophie Scarf larger to use up all that pretty yarn? I hope so. Also, tell Giroux to look a little happier that the Eagles made the playoffs!

  3. Giroux looks thrilled (not) about his Eagles. Ha! Those are some pretty yarns. I did the same thing on my last sock except I was 2 stitches short. I had a brain block and couldn't figure out why the K2P2 wasn't working out right! Sometimes I wonder about myself! Jeez.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

  4. Fly Eagles Fly! Do you have any Eagles inspired colors for play off sock knitting? You do have some very nice January projects.
