February - Decisions, Decisions

Like many of you, we are living through brutally cold weather.

My lips are chapped beyond what lip goo will do.
I have resorted to Badger Balm which is only minimally helping.

My fingers are cracked and as much as Palmer's Cocoa butter
feels good at the time, it doesn't really solve the problem.

What does all this mean?
It means knitting is minimal
and cross stitching is nonexistent.

BUT, all is not lost.

I sorted through all the DMC and it is tidy on bobbins and in boxes.

The overflow has gone into Floss-Away bags.

Knitting patterns and cross stitch charts have been sorted.

Some were not keepers and made their way to the recycling bin.

I had to face facts . . . I am never going to knit a sweater.

You know why?  I don't wear them.

When it comes to sweaters, I am a cheap date .... $19.99 at Boscov's.
When they get all grungy and nasty ---- out they go.

Fast fashion DOES have it's place in my closet,
and considering some of my sweaters and fleeces are 9 years old,
can they really be considered FAST anymore?

I'm going to say it .... I am an accessories knitter.
Well, socks mainly.
It remains to be seen if I actually wear the scarf I have knit
or the one that is currently on my needles.

I had my quarterly dumping of the yarn.

Two thumbs up .... no sign of moths.

I DID pick out my February cast on
and if Palmer's Cocoa Butter will do it's thing,
I may cast on tomorrow.

I also put a few skeins that caught my eye in the top bin.
I really had to rein myself in and decide on a reasonable number.
Five ......five seemed like a reasonable amount to add to my works-in-progress.
No cast on right now.

Right now I'm going to be like Giroux and take a nap.
I deserve it.
But mine will NOT be on the kitchen floor.

Happy February .... I hope your weekend was as productive too.
