Life Stuff

I was really glad to see the back end of 2025. It was not a year that I will look back on fondly. Unfortunately, 2026 is starting off to be a real 💩show, both nationally AND personally. That being said, there are days when I just don't want to even turn on the computer (or look at my phone).

Posting here may be sparse, may come in "clumps", or may not come at all. I have stepped back from Facebook for sure. The AI there is totally out of control. I have not deleted my account as of yet, but I don't rule out doing that sometime down the road.

I do post on Instagram, but will be taking my account private. The "sex worker" spam hitting my account is getting ridiculous ------------seriously, WHAT algorithm have they got going over there? If you wish to follow my account AND I recognize you OR you have something to do with knitting or cross stitch, I will accept the request.

These days what is being allowed to go on in this country is criminal and just all to much.

Many days I just need to step away for my sanity.

  2. I understand and agree. We all need to do what we need to do to stay sane. Am I mistaken or is Facebook connected to IG? I would delete my Facebook account in a heartbeat if I didn't think I'd lose IG. Although these days I might be better off with neither. Your knitting looks great. I love all the colors for your socks.

  3. For my own mental health, I don't watch the news or clue into it on social media. I can't do anything about it so I am a good and kind citizen right where I am. Sending a hug!
The knitting is gorgeous works in progress--I especially like the socks all the way to the left!
